Gamay from seventy year old vines planted over pink granite farmed by the Collonge family in the Beaujolais village of Lantigni��. The grapes were fermented on the skins for almost a month, before being pressed over several days to old casks for a year of rest. Reflecting the vintage, this is delicate and nuanced, displaying a pleasant tension and a touch of finesse.

About the Winemaker

Born and raised in the Jura, Olivier Boulin is a philosopher turned ��neo-negoce��, making wine as Le Nez de Goth. We me Olivier at his parent��s house in Dole where he houses his old wooden press. His idea was always to ��grow his garden at a friend��s house��, and he��s very lucky that for the most part his friends are esteemed winemakers all working naturally. His fruit is all organic or biodynamic, he works manually and diligently, cranking a basket press through the night outside of his parents' garage. The wines are fermented and aged in a 17th century cellar in Champvans before gravity bottling with zero additions. Olivier Loves to play with ideas regional typicity, while injecting the wines with his sharp wit and intellect
