Son of Jean Foillard (OG BOJO Gang of Four), Alex Foillard is making beautiful and expressive CRU beaujolais with 30-60 year old vines in Cote de Brouilly. Boardering Northern Rhone, this wine brings a bit more power which marrys the fruit forwardness of gamay very well.

About the Winemaker

The son of ��Gang of Four�� producer Jean Foillard, Alex had early exposure to the principles of sustainable farming and low-intervention winemaking. Alex��s involvement in the family business began at a young age, helping his father pick grapes during harvest. After studying agriculture at the Lyc��e Agricole in Montpellier and earning a degree in viticulture and enology in Beaune, Alex purchased his own vineyards, a hectare each in the crus of Brouilly and C?te-de-Brouilly. He works his vines according to organic principles and uses tried-and-true techniques to craft his wines: whole-cluster fermentation with natural yeasts, no fining or filtration, and no additives save for a minute sulfur dose at bottling. As a result, his cuv��es have a seductive aromatic component, a silky texture, and a downright deliciousness that is unmistakably Foillard.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck. Shipping cost is 30 bucks a box?(up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!
