About the Winemaker

Rami Bassil El-Sabban is an ex-sommelier now nomadic winemaker based out of Lebanon. Rami started his wine journey as a sommelier in Miami under the wing of Karina Iglesias. This is when we first met Rami. With the freedom that she gave him, he found that he could cultivate his identity and his activism through wine/beer. From there, he began selling Lebanese and Palestinian wines as a form of storytelling and resistance, and by doing so he began developing relationships with winemakers from back home. In 2022 Eddie called Rami and asked him if he wanted to come back home and make some wine. And that was all she wrote! Now he is in his 3rd year of winemaking, in Bcharri (via Mersel��s facility) and Bhamdoun (via Chateau Cana��s facility with Joanna Gerges). Imagine the blessing of starting your career with mentors like Karina and Eddie!

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck. Shipping cost is 30 bucks a box?(up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!
